19 years convicted

This represents Jean Valjean because he was convicted for 19 years because of stealing the first 4 years and the rest for trying to run away.

Knocking on the Door

This represents what i like to call the knock that changed his entire life. he knocked on the bishops door and he did not judge him at all even when he showed his yellow passport.

This represents Jean because he stole the silver from the bishops house ad he forgave him. he was in such a shock that he changed his life entirely.

This yellow passport is a symbol for Jean Valjean because he was a convict they gave him that passport to show everywhere he went. he often got rejected.
